Where is my Money...No one knows...no "buyer protection"....It's all part of the game...

Please watch out for these so called "Mystery" boxes on Bidorbuy. I bought one on an auction with a bid of R300. After 3 months, the seller did not uphold her end of the bargain (supplying me with a mystery box full of goods). After contacting the seller, she always had an excuse for the parcel not arriving at its destination, namely:

· They are moving and everything is “hectic”

· A family member has cancer and she is trying to cope

· Her life is a mess and is trying to sort everything out

· She has already sent it with a courier and it takes time

A month later I contacted her again, asking about the whereabouts of the parcel, which she indicated it has been sent with a courier, (supplying a falsified tracking number etc). I have contacted Bidorbuy numerous times, stating that they must report the seller and due to “Buyers Protection” (a protection policy of theirs) I am entitled to a refund.

Now this is where it gets interesting.

Apparently, the seller has not sent me the goods, due to the fact that “Bidorbuy” has not released the funds into her account (which I have already paid into theirs). They have not released the funds into her account due to reports from other concerned buyers (like myself) whom has also been taken for a ride by this specific seller. I stipulated that the issue between Bidorbuy and the seller is none of my business, and all I want is a refund; as the funds is now still in BidorBuy’s account and she has not sent the goods to me as on that given date. I have contacted Bidorbuy to resolve this issue on numerous occasions, and all they tell me is that I cannot get a refund/reimbursed me due to the fact that my “claim” is on a purchase which is more than 3 Months old from purchased date. The women will not send my goods, as she “has not received” any payment from Bidorbuy and Bidorbuy has not released her payment due to her “shady dealings” and I have already paid the amount into Bidorbuy’s account. I assume my money is still magically floating in the air somewhere and worst of all is, this has happened quite a while ago, thus I have lost my purchase history/goods bought history on my account, as Bidorbuy wipes all “old” records, thus I and cannot report the seller or correspond with them anymore.

I have technically written the money off, and wish to have no more dealings with the e-commerce platform and any of their “sellers”, the foundation of trust has been broken, between buyer, seller and Bidorbuy, thus I cannot and do not feel comfortable enough to continue using such a platform, which has no protection for its buyer(s), whom by the way is the reason why such an e-commerce platform exists, if no buyers supported this platform, it will all end very quickly, especially if this is the way they treat their long standing customers.
