USED LAPTOP LASTED 3 WEEKS THEN DIED

I purchased a used laptop from Mellani Naidu who uses the name 'supercomputer' on the Bid or Buy site. Within 3 weeks of taking delivery the motherboard crashed. Bid or Buy initially stated they would assist with refund/replacement but have since told me the goods were delivered in 'good working order'. This obviously proved not to be true with the laptop having broken so quickly. Indications must have been there that there was a problem. Mellani Naidu has refused to have anything to do with it and quotations received by myself range from R3500 upwards for a replacement motherboard. As a customer of many years, I expected Bid or Buy to do more but instead they tell me to lay a charge at SAPS of misrepresentation in selling faulty goods and this after having told me the goods were delivered in 'good working order'. I am now out almost R2000.
