Stupid, redundant and shady business practices

I made a few purchases on Bidorbuy using my credit card & later received an email requesting a picture of my credit card, copy of my ID and proof of residence. I’ve made so much online shopping locally and internationally in the past years using my credit card and never ever has any store required such sensitive information for a purchase! Visa & Mastercard have very good security measures in place and then one comes across such a company that claims this is for security purposes, my concern is according to CPA such la process is not a requirement for a credit purchase and should those documents along with your purchase information leak then ******* have all information to commit credit *****.

When speaking to bidorbuy employees none of them were concerned about these facts and gave me the “take it or leave it” impression
