Sellers treated like common ********s. Their stock and money is all good though, and that's all that really matters.

Would not recommend anyone to sell on Bidorbuy (BobShop now)and these are my reasons I would like to implore new sellers to consider. Firstly the community watch, which only watches the interest of Bidorbuy, by keeping your funds to mature like fat calves in their account ( it's yours virtually but not in reality, it's their coffer) whilst making your business halt and stand dead still for a week or even more at times. Although their employees communicate well over the phone when you call support, a handful of them are not so helpful and offer no support or help just tell you the process, which you already now by now doesn't work. The buying experience is somewhat pleasant for buyers, the rating system works well to a point, except some buyers use it to manipulate sellers even if they are wrong. Sellers are trustworthy but unfortuantely Sellers have the nightmare of dealing with corporate nonsense, treated with distrust constantly and they plainly just tell you they can't force you to do business with them, basically saying they don't need you with a smile. Physical stock leaves the seller, the seller doesn't get payed till delivery of an item is confirmed, and sometimes buyers do not rate you which makes it even harder to process funds, so sellers which hold physical stock already payed for doesn't turn money around fast enough. The process whereby you have to request funds out of a system that takes a while, it's all slow payments and you only get payed out pefore 9AM on business days, and as I mentioned before your funds get suspended regularly and you have to sit with non payment, whilst your item are shipped away. The cut Bidorbuy takes on a sale really shows you how out if touch they are, taking about R300 for a sale of an item. Say you sold an item for R3200 you basically got out R2800 and you have to use their couriers, which is R30 but you get billed more usually after the sale and not the buyer, it's not all bad though the system is better there than it was, but unfortunately recommended couriers take 5 days and more to deliver nowadays. Bidorbuy used to be good when it was small to mid size, like really innovative and pro seller as well as buyer, you could pay funds into a sellers account it reflected immediately and got shipped fast, you just payed your account when you sold something but somehow the scales have tipped and corporate greed set in. Verified sellers do not have to be taken through this hellish process, sellers rake in lots of money for this company and deserve better treatment than this, especially if your track record is good and you hold physical stock yourself. I wouldn't be surprised if Takealot makes quick work of Bidorbuy in time, and at this point I do not care really. The CEO is dangerously out of touch, they do not care about their sellers, although their sellers are the ones bringing in actual money, advertising their own goods. Previously I got harrased by a buyer who did not now how to use the item correctly they had bought, worse is Bidorbuy joined in and kept calling us and saying I needed to refund the client, eventhough no warranty or return was mentioned in the advert, well it turned out the client used the product incorrectly and we informed them how to do so correctly and behold our products worked 100% and it was the clients mistake, which the Bidorbuy team sided with and treated us like common ********s and disdain and believed nothing we said. Basically if a client breaks your product by using it incorrectly, secondhand items need to be refunded anyway even if you mentioned no refunds. I've heard many horror stories regarding buying on Bidorbuy before as well, but for the sake of being a overly long review I will not be covering that now. What does Bidorbuy actually do and does it make sense to use them? Well physically they do nothing much but play the middleman, small businesses will not benefit from using them really as profit margins super are important to small startups, hosting your own website is far better than using this excuse of a market website called Bobshop now, which is frankly not a good change nor will it be well received. The bottom line is sellers are the backbone of this company, without sellers the site would be completely empty and Bidorbuy would go bankrupt. Bidorbuy has no experience selling new or secondhand goods they are just good at advertising, that's what you pay for, and it's all they really do besides take your hard earned money and tell you how it's going to work, they are really good at that, they do not involve their sellers and buyers in making decisions even though it's a meeting place for them. I loved using this company, I still do to an extent but it's time they listened to the sellers who held this company together for years now, the cons outweighs the pros now, it's up to Bobshop now what their response is. If the sellers on Bidorbuy stand together and campaign via social media the company will lose it's money it's virtual doors will be closed once and for all, do better Bidorbuy that's all we want.
