Poor service from Bidorbuy

On 6 December 2018 I purchased a Junior Meccano set as a Christmas present for my 5 year old Grandson. At the time the delivery advertised on the Bidorbuy website was quoted as 2 to 3 working days. When the Meccano had not arrived by 20 December 2018 I became concerned and phoned the supplier number provided when I ordered the goods. I spoke to a man named Jeff who could not have been more unhelpful if he tried. He advised me that the standard terms and conditions specified a delivery period of 4 to 14 working days, and as 14 working days had not yet elapsed I had nothing to complain about. He then undertook to deliver the goods before 5 pm on Saturday, 22 December 2018 as my family were leaving to go away on holiday on Sunday 23 December 2018. Today, 2 January 2019 (16 working days after I placed my order) the goods have not yet arrived. My 5 year Grandson was devastated that he did not get a Christmas present from his Grandpa. As a comparison, because I live in Zambia, I had purchased all my Christmas gifts for my family from various companies, all of them were delivered within a week of placing the order.

I will never deal with Bidorbuy again!
