Bidorbuy no responsibility Waranty
Good day. We purchased a TV Box on the 13th November 2018 which was shipped on 15th and received shortly afterwards. We went on a family holiday from the 19th December 2018 and got back on the 27th which we spend the evening using the unit. The morning of the 28th it would not switch on. We were told to ship the unit back which we did at our cost additional to the purchase, and on their investigation stated it was due to a power surge or it was hit by lightning. Now I do not recall thunderstorms and I can not do much regarding the electrical surge besides the use of the correct multi plugs which I do have in place. I have been in contact with a Keith Moletsane which chose to ignore my reference to the Warranty of Quality clause in Consumer Act of SA. They only give you a 30day warranty which exludes Physical, Water Damage and conveniently does not cover power surge. What does it cover under warranty then if the only the that can go wrong with it is ELECTRICAL? The unit is 39 days old and was not used for 8 days of that 39days and is not being replaced, fixed or refunded?
