Biddulphs International
<div>I have unfortunately had two terrible experiences with Biddulphs International, both involving the "loss" of personal property during separate moves.
During my first move, several valuable items went missing, and despite raising the issue, the company was dismissive and took no real accountability. I decided to give them a second chance for another move, only to experience the exact same problem again, this time involving very expensive power tools and two limited-edition power amplifiers which I am unable to replace.
Not only is this a massive breach of trust, but the lack of responsibility and proper customer service afterward has been shocking. Moving is already stressful, and to have your possessions go "missing" while in the company’s care is completely unacceptable.
I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using Biddulphs International Moving Company. In my experience, their poor security, lack of accountability, and unwillingness to resolve serious issues make them an unreliable choice for something as important as moving your personal belongings.
A charge of theft has been opened at the Plettenberg Bay police station to investigate this. Still ZERO accountability for "missing" items way over the value of R60k.</div>

For clarity on the facts: The items in question were NOT packed by Biddulphs. All goods were collected directly from your garage and transported straight into your chosen self-storage unit to which we have no access. Delivery was completed, and the relevant paperwork was signed off confirming the transfer of goods (to our knowledge you were not physically present at collection or delivery). We only heard about this issue from you directly many weeks after the delivery was completed. At that time, we advised you to lodge a police report and that all paperwork was completed accordingly. This review has been previously removed on the basis of factual inaccuracies. Our priority is always to provide a secure and reliable service. Thank you.

The truck stood at your warehouse over the weekend, it came to my storage unit on the Monday, I only moved in weeks later. I was the only one with the key to my storage unit.
Delivery was completed with many items missing. That is the fact and there is no other way around that simple fact.

I will clarify the facts again so there is no further room for misrepresentation:
Your continued attempts to shift blame instead of addressing the missing goods only highlight the lack of accountability that has been the core issue from the beginning.
This is now part of an open theft investigation, and I will allow the legal process to proceed accordingly.
I expect your future responses to reflect the seriousness of the matter and to refrain from insinuations that undermine the documented facts.

- Both affidavits confirm that the items were packed, accounted for, and handed over to your team. Implying dishonesty on our part is inappropriate and unacceptable.
- Your vehicle remained in your possession over the weekend, and the delivery occurred only on Monday. My storage unit was locked, and I was the sole keyholder. Any suggestion that the losses occurred after delivery is factually impossible.
- The collection and transport periodduring which only Biddulphs had custody of my belongings is the window where the items went missing. This is not a matter of opinion; it is a matter of clear chain of custody.
- Delivery was completed with multiple expensive items missing. That is an established fact, not a “disputed” detail. No amount of reframing will change that.

What a shocking company, so many better options than this out there. Smaller companies that don’t treat you like a disposable customer.
