Run, don't walk away from Bed King

Instead of delivering a bed frame from the factory, Bed King delivered a bed frame from the store floor and tried to pass it off as a factory item.<br> The bed frame was clearly second hand, with signs of being previously assembled and dismantled. The bed frame was cracked, with missing dowel sticks making construction impossible. There were also scratches not expected on a new bed. The bed was also not delivered in a truck but on a flat bed bakkie which could have damaged the mattress and bed frame, which was not securely wrapped in plastic.<br> The salesman tried to pull a fast one by lying that the order will still be made within the promised delivery time of 10 working days and decided to pass the showroom model as new stock.<br> The truth is that the bed frame was not in stock and needed to custom ordered, something that would take 6 weeks. This was not communicated to me, and I was mislead that delivery would happen between 2 and 10 working days later. The salesman did not want to lose a sale and neglected to communicate this important fact.<br> I am shocked that the company would try such a stunt and deliver a broken second hand bed for which a significant sum of money was paid for.
