On the 22/3/2019 myself and my wife decided to buy a new mattress as our King Koil of 12 years had started to sag and as I had had a back op was starting to wake with slight back pain. As I am a large person and weigh 157 kg we went out looking for a mattress with a weight limit above 180kg or max weight. We were at several bed shops where the staff said "sorry, nothing in that weight range. We ended up at Bed King where a Carol Williams assured us that she had several in stock in the weight range I sought. She started by showing matresess with a 150 kg weight range and I informed her that if it was under 180kg that I was not interested. She told us that the comfort air range was in the weight class and we subsequently purchased it for R11200. This mattres lasted until the 24/4/2019 and sagged in on both sides. Bed King replaced the mattress with an apparent upgrade. On 22/7/2019 I had the inspector, Mathew from the bed manufacturers at my house to inspect the sagging of the bed which are at ridiculous levels. While chatting to him I inquired what the weight limit of the bed was and apparently this specific model "Comfort Air " gentle firm and the previous mattress the Comfort Air plush mattresses had a 130kg rating and that is why they have collapsed. As I specified the minimum weight of the mattres that I wanted and was informed that this was the weight limit of the mattresses means that Bed King has commited ***** by passing a 130 kg matress off as a 180 kg mattress. I was informed by Mathew that a lady from Bed King would get in touch with me by yesterday morning , but as yet there has been silence from them
