My First time buying a car experience RUINED

> As a first-time buyer, my experience with salesperson at B.B. Sinoville was extremely disappointing.

> I wanted a brand new car for my birthday - it was meant to be a special moment for me and my family. I was clear that I wanted a fixed installment, fixed rate with NO balloon payment because other dealerships were too expensive.

> He offered to collect me to VIEW a car. When I arrived, the car was already prepared for collection and I was pressured to sign documents quickly without being given time to read. I trusted him and signed.

> When I got home I realized what I signed was NOT what I asked for - there was a 35% balloon and the instalment was not on fixed rate.These was never disclosed to me. Because I am not an experienced driver I could not take the car that day and had to go home.

> When I tried to cancel the Offer to Purchase, I was told the bank had already paid and the car was mine, that the deal was between me and the bank, and that I have no cooling-off period. I felt bul**** and pressured to take a car I did not agree to.

> I went directly to Bank and the bank confirmed that the dealership MUST cancel the Offer to Purchase. Only after that did I have grounds to cancel. Even after that, communication was very intimidating and bullyin.

They also arranged cartrack on my behalf without me signing any agreement with Cartrack. When the deal was cancelled, Cartrack wanted a R2,260 cancellation fee from me because the dealership reported it as a premature cancellation. I had to sort it out with Cartrack myself, and thankfully they cancelled without penalty, as did the bank.

> This was supposed to be a special first-time buying experience and it was ruined. My advice to first-time buyers: NEVER go alone.
