BB Ford Menlyn Farce
I have had the most ********** experience ever relating to the servicing of my car. I have had to take my car back to Ford 2 times in the past 3 weeks to have the same the issue resolved and I am still not entirely certain that the matter has been resolved. My past couple of experience though have proven to me that Ford BB Menlyn has no concern for their customers, what matter is that they have your money in their pocket and they just want to shoo you away so that they can move on to the next money making opportunity.
I took my vehicle on the 19th of March 2019 to BB Menlyn Ford to have my brakes replaced because they were squeaking, I was told that my rear brakes had to also be cleaned. I gave the "service advisor" the go ahead with the clear instruction that the brakes should not squeak the whole service cost me over R5000 which is a bit heavy I thought but I just wanted to be rid of that annoying squeak. My so called "service advisor" Leani Fillies assured that all is 100%, the squeak was back not even 5km's from the dealership.
I took my vehicle back on the 18th of April 2019 to have the same issue with brakes resolved they claimed to have cleaned the front brake pads and after "investigation" determined that the noise was coming from the rear breaks (which they had charged me over R1000 for the previous time I took the car in). They had determined that the issue was resolved. Needless to say within a 100 meters of driving away from the dealer the vehicle's brakes started squeaking again, I promptly drove back told Bert (Workshop manager I think) who said I should drive it and see if the squeak goes away.
On the same day in the morning when dropping of my vehicle I realised that my service books was missing and given that I had taken my vehicle to BB Menlyn Ford for my last service and for other issues related to my vehicle it follows that someone there might have misplaced it.
I had to take my car back today 22 April 2019 and I am still not entirely convinced that the dealer has my interest at hear, I don't believe enough is being done to ensure that my issue is fully resolved I am of the impression that individuals at the dealer believe I have all the time in the world to keep on returning with the same issue not being resolved. When I asked my "service advisor" what was done to resolve the issue she merely said it was test driven and squeaked the first time and the second time they test drove it it was fine so I should go test drive and see what happens, like I have all the time in the world to dwell in this issue.
I must also categorically state say that Leani Fillies is the worst "service advisor" I have ever encountered not conscientious at all and thoroughly disappointing. Seeing that you are always asking for feedback I thought it's best that I give you an honest account of my experience.
