Hatfield Nissan be Aware

I contacted Hatfield Nissan to enquire about a Mercedes Benz which they advertised on Facebook. I wanted to know what the cash price is. The Salesman ( Mr Dawid van der Merwe) immediately offered to bring the vehicle to my house to view. I asked him not to do so before we agreed on the cash price. He insisted to bring the vehicle to my house and once I viewed it then the cash price could be negotiated. The vehicle was in a good condition but priced much higher than similar models advertised on the internet. When it reached the point to discuss the discount the Saleman insisted that I must decide quickly and was addament that no discount would be given as there was another cash buyer standing ready at the branch to buy the vehicle if I decided not to do so. I had to make a quick decision and said I will take the vehicle. After the Salesman left I thought about what happened, phoned and informed him that I decided not to purchase the vehicle. He said that I cannot cancel because his Manager would be furious. After the conversation I transferred the money but, decided a few hours later that the vehichle is overpriced and the Salesman did not keep his promise to negotiate a lower price for paying cash. At 5pm he sent me pictures of the vehicle where he parked it in the showroom after he returned from my house . At that point no action to proceed with the purchase was taken by the Saleman yet or, any documentation completed or signed. I then finally decided and informed him not to proceed with the purchase. He was addament that he will not cancel the deal and tried to force me to proceed. After a few communications he sent me the contact details of his Manager. I then phoned the Manager and informed him about my decision not to proceed with the purchase. He was friendly and said it is 100% fine with him. I was surprised to see that they transferred a R1000 less into my bank account. Not only did they had no reason to charge me a R1000 but, they did not even had the odasity to inform me what the reason was for keeping a R1000. The vehicle is still not sold so I cannot help to wonder what happened to the other so called cash buyer who was used to force me to make a quick decision to purchase the vehicle. I will think twice before doing any business with Hatfield Nissan in future.
