Unfair customer treatment

I app**** for a loan this morning and everything went well and I was approved however the system kicked me out because I took long to upload my documents. I then call the call center for assistance and I'm told that I cannot apply because I work for a private company. I do not understand this, I work for a reputable financial institution (a bank) and I am permanently employed. This is really weird and unfair. How is it that only government employees are given preference over other customers. Please assist.
