Misleading 2year warranty

Bought my battery on 03/07/2019 from battery centre Xavier. On 09/05/2020 took the battery in and they said my alternator is under charging. Went to get alternator checked and nothing was wrong. Went back today 14/09/2020 was told they won't replace the battery because the alternator damaged it..... so furious
