First National Battery *******s with Pinetown Battery

With reference to the below. No one has contacted us on ***. Seems they don't care about their customers and I will continue putting them on social media until they contact us.

'I purchased a new RAYLITE battery from BATTERY CENTRE in Old main Road, Pinetown. KZN on 21st May 2018 and the battery was fitted by Battery Centre staff and remained untouched. It is a sealed type and requires no filling of water. The battery carries a 24-month Factory Warranty. It cost us R1600.04 On 26th July I took my vehicle back to Battery Centre, Pinetown as it was getting sluggish to start. Upon testing the RAYLITE battery the sales person Shane William confirmed that the battery was indeed faulty and removed it from the vehicle. Shane was about to replace the battery with a new one when he spotted a tiny mark on the top of one of the battery lead Posts (approximately 1mm x 2mm). He said he would have to check with the RAYLITE factory if they would accept the battery with the mark on the Post and fitted a ‘loan’ battery to keep the vehicle running. By the 7th of August I had received no word from Shane so I drove back to Battery Centre where Shane informed me that the battery had been ‘rejected’ by Wayne Durward at the RAYLITE factory. The simple one line explanation via email from the area representative, Wayne Durward, from First National Battery to Battery Centre was ‘Rejected WAR91503 Post damaged’ I received no apology for negligence to give me feedback. When I mentioned that the battery had been untouched since I bought it and that perhaps the mark on the post could have been made by Battery Centre staff at the time of fitment, Shane became even more arrogant and ruder than our first encounter. Perhaps this individual should not be in contact with customers. I had noticed that the staff use tools to hammer the terminal onto the battery pole and have the image to show this. They most probably damaged it themselves! When I mentioned to Shane that I have proof of the staff hammering battery terminals onto the posts, he became obnoxious as well as downright rude and started taking photographs of my battery they had just installed. We thought we could rely on BATTERY CENTRE to supply and fit a battery in the correct manner (which I asked how it was that they fitted the battery) without damaging it and then later on tell the customer that the warranty is not in force because the battery Post is 'damaged.' What a ******* of pensioner’s money. At NO stage did anyone tell us that we had to inspect the battery after fitment. My concern was that my could my car start. At NO stage was that battery touched by us after fitment. Now my wife and I are driving around with a faulty Raylite battery which is still under warranty. It sounds like we are dealing with a bunch of ************ from BATTERY CENTRE OLD MAIN ROAD PINETOWN and and FIRST NATIONAL BATTERY **********, 47 Joyner Rd, Prospecton, Durban, 4110 who supply the Raylite batteries. Their Head Office is 011 - **********. Do not use them, they are *******s!'
