<p>My car battery was flat. I took another far bigger battery out of my diesel van and used jumper leads to get the car with the flat battery started. I could find no obvious reason why the car battery had gone flat. Perhaps the battery had come to the end of its life. I put the big battery into the boot of the car together with the jumper leads in case I would experience another problem. I then drove away to do my work.</p> <p>I drove to Battery Center and asked them to test the car battery. They told me it had no power in it and it needed to be replaced.</p> <p>In order to get a check on the test they had performed, I asked them to check the big battery which I had put in the boot. - SAME result. They said that the big battery also needed to be replaced. They then quoted me a huge price to supply TWO NEW batteries to replace BOTH my batteries.</p> <p>I asked them if they would like to re-consider the results of both these tests. They said - NO - both batteries were faulty.</p> <p>I asked them why their test would fail the big battery which had easily started both my diesel van and also my car. They could not answer this question. I got into the car that had the smaller battery which had previously been flat. The car started easily despite their conclusion that the battery was no good.</p> <p>I then visited another battery supplier with whom I have previously dealt. They tested both batteries and the charging circuit of the car and said that ALL OF THEM were PERFECT.</p> <p>Conclusion : I am very pleased that I did not and will not, do business with Battery Center.</p> <p>Final chapter : I went back to Battery Center to tell the man in charge of the experience I had had with them. He was apologetic but not much concerned. He blamed the tester.</p>
