Overcharged

Went shopping at Bata Shoes in Greenstone Mall today with a friend and found amazing boots. We both got a pair, but getting to the pay-point, the price is R100 more than on the bar-coded sticker and on the box. With no Manager there we had no option but to pay the additional money for the shoes. If something has a price on retailers should honour their pricing or get staff to reprice items. The R499 was not a sale price and in my opinion items are usually reduced, the price is never raised. Bata Shoes has the advert with the price of R499 on their Facebook Page, yet we are charged R599 a pair. Are we getting ********** here??
