Bata Toughees not so tough

I recently visited South Africa for a 2 week holiday and bought my son a pair of Bata Touchees school shoes. Growing up I always wore toughees and it was known to be a good product, however the shoes didn’t even last a month!! On my return to Australia I wrote to them to complain several times. I eventually received an e mail back asking me for my receipt to which I already explained that I didn’t keep it as I am not in the same country. I am very disappointed in the product but also the customer service as no one bothered to respond to my complaint. I wish I was able to post a photo of the shoes after only 1 month. The quality has truly deteriorated.
