Bata Toughees - 6 months guarantee but cannot be changed!!!

I have purchased 2 pairs of Toughees from the Bata store in Manchester road on 30 December 2019. My children have used them for 3 months only and both these shoes have loose stitching. Unfortunately we could not return them due to the lockdown. In June I have personally went to the store but they were still closed. I have called the office and spoke to Gloria. She advised that I can go into the store and speak to the Manager (Alvin) who will replace the shoes for me. My wife went to the store in July (with original boxes and slips) and he advises that he cannot change the shoes as they are passed 6 months.

How is this my fault? The 6th month ended in June and you guys were still closed. It's not my fault that the lockdown occurred. Every company in this country are still honouring guarantees as part of ethical customer service, yet Bata chooses not to.

I have e-mailed bata (***; ***) yet they do not respond.

Pathetic customer service.
