Traffic fine and etoll bill received for traded in car

November 2022 I traded in my polo and received the new TSI polo life. I advised the salesperson that to me whether I keep the same licence plate number or not, doesnt matter and they proceeded to keep the same licence plate number for the new car. In April 2023 I received a fine for the car which I traded in with the traded in car still having my license plate on the car. I contacted the dealership in Bellville and they advised the sales person whom sold the traded in car did not take off the old licence plate number and sent this to the new owner, who also did not take off the old licence plates, but continued driving the car using my details! Only when I received the fine and contacted the dealership and called and emailed them several times, did they eventually understand the importance of what was happening. I had to insist the licence plates be removed and had to follow up to ask constantly whether this was indeed done. It is now May 2023 and still I am receiving bills for when the traded in car was used. So timeline-wise... the car, new owner, was using my licence plates from November 2022 to April 2023! I am horrified that firstly Barons in Bellville could let this happen, that it took several calls and emails to get the licence plates removed and how the sales person whom sold the car was not responding to my emails and did not even have the audacity to make sure this was corrected quickly. I will never use Barons in Bellville again and Barons in general, as I cannot trust that they will indeed do the job which they are charging me for. To date, I have received 1 fine, which was in arears when I received the notice and 1 etoll bill, which is again in arears. No one at VW barons seems to understand how this is impacting my name, how this is making me look like by having these bills and fines which are in arears. To date, I am still emailing about the 1 bill which is now in arears, constantly, as I do not get responses if I dont email or call.
