The No Service service

I went to the closest reputable VW dealer in my area which happens to be the Barons at N1 City Goodwood. As I arrived there, they had a security guard who wasn't very helpful, just like the staff. I inquired about servicing my vehicle and was told that due to current lockdown restrictions they only service essential services vehicles. Just so you know, it's essential for me to have a roadworthy vehicle in case my chronically ill mother has an emergency, God forbid. Why am I paying for a service plan?
