Polo infotainment not working and no after sales service

Last year I bought a new Polo for my mother and traded the previous as I do every 2 years for the past how many years. This one however was a very unpleasant experience on the after sales service from Barons N1 City

After a month of ownership the infotainment system just disconnects from the car or freezes. Took it back, firmware updated. Week or so later, same story. Was told the phone is the issue. Fine, changed phones. Week later, same story. Now I changed phones 3 times, no fix. Got in touch with the service manager and expressed my concern. I arranged once again for the car to be taken in as I was assured the issue will be resolved. Again blaming the cellphone. This is the back and forth I had to deal with at my expense and time with no problem fixed. December came and still car is not fixed, spoke to a forman whom now looked at the vehicle, he said it requires new firmware but they don't have it and don't know when it'll be available. REALLY?? He expressed that if it is a problem I should contact Volkswagen I left it at that for the sake of the holiday and picked this up in Jan 2023. Laid a complaint with them and they would get back to me, went well for a week and feedback became same old 'well get back to you sir' I was supposed to get feedback just after a week and no phone call, sms or email after I said please use all methods of communication. I had to once again phone VW asking for feedback which was nothing. Last week of Jan I emailed the sales person that sold me my car and instructing that I no longer want the vehicle and that I want a day and place to return it as clearly they cannot fix the issue. I quickly got called by the Sales manager that now wants to meet with me but telling me I cannot just return the vehicle. I think not sir, Consumer act law protects me to return, replace or repair goods sold if not working as intended within 6 months of purchase. He would have phoned me last week Monday the 30th, that never happened. I then again sent a mail by which I was told by him, I said I'm not available during the week which is true but also said I can do Fridays and weekends. However he said he is not there for the week. So then his intention was never to phone me nor did this 4 MONTH ISSUE in anyway bother him. Obviously after that I instructed him that I will not tolerate the poor customer service, after sales service or pay for a product that is not working to what was ordered. VW phoned me again and I asked to speak with someone higher up or supervisor and quickly got told no I can't, there is no one.

At this stage the branch and VW itself is denying my right as a consumer. They clearly can't fix it, so replace it or take it and give back my money. What makes you any different from other retail stores or businesses.
