Awful Customer Service

Having moved down to cape town 5 months ago, I've been looking for a good VW branch where I could take my car in for service. The closest one is Barons N1 City, so went ahead and checked out the reviews on them on hellopeter. In spite of having a low rating (below 2), went on faith that maybe i'd be the exception.

1. Had requested a few extras to be done on the car besides the usual oil & filter change, needed a fog bulb changed and my new number plates installed. 2. I arrived there at 16:55, as I was instructed to arrive between 16:30 – 17:00. The offices close at 17:30. There were close to around 7 other clients waiting to be attended to. Expected to wait a little bit, but the wait lasted 30 minutes then I stood to go find out what’s going on. Found my agent and she apologised for the delay and went onto serve the next customer, I was only attended to at 17:40. 3. I was provided with my invoice and a brief explanation of what was done on the car, then told that I didn’t need to pay anything as the service is covered by the services (I don’t understand why I needed to wait if I didn’t need to pay for anything) 4. On inspection of my car, I saw that number plates were left on the car seat (these weren’t installed) and the car was not washed or was not washed well enough; the windscreen was still as dirty as I left it, the bird **** that was on my grill that morning, was still there.

Maybe I’m a little spoilt on the type of services I’ve received at other VW centres in Johannesburg (VW StrijdomPark & Barons Woodmead), I just expected the same type of service throughout the VW centres.

I won’t be taking my car there in the future and in the market for a reputable service centre.
