very upset client

Good day Mr Swannepool

I have been a client of ford for the past 10 years. When I purchase a new vehicle I make sure that there is a maintenance plan included as this is a necessity.

I took my car in for a service on the 06/05/2016 for its 100 000km service.

On Sunday when I left my house, it sounded like there was water running behind my steering wheel, I then parked the car and took it back first thing Monday morning. Only to be told that the internal radiator had broken. I then received a quote (attached) stating that it will cost R 16 475.00 I was in a total state of shock as who has this amount lying around for a car. I feel that this is a factory fault on the vehicle as my car is still new as it was only bought on the 12/09/2011 and has a 100 % service history.

Tania tried to see if we can get it fixed under the warranty but it had Expired on the 12/09/2015. I then did request for a curtesy car as I am a single woman with no other means of transport to be told that there is no cars available.

I as a loyal customer to ford was very upset at how I was treated with this whole thig as it made me feel like the client’s needs are not taken into consideration and all that is cared about is Money.

I then took my car to an independent Mechanic for a second opinion and after 8 hours of labour it only cost me R 3 600 as it was just the pipe that had burst. I feel that Ford should have been able to pick this up more accurately.
