TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM BARLOWORLD ALBERTON - FORD

Dear Sirs,

I have had problems with my vehicle whenever it has gone to this particular dealership, I am attaching copy of emails sent from the Dealership principal and the Service Manager.

Tessa Damon – ********** Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost 2013 Model 65300kms Cl 58VH GP Barloworld – Alberton Fanie van Wyk

1. In August 2018 – I had problems with my battery which resulted in the vehicle being towed to this dealership – needless to say despite me insisting that it was the battery that was faulty – the dealership said it was my alternator and charged me for it. The vehicle was with the dealership for two days. The next morning – low and behold – my vehicle would not start! – and guess what Barloworld came through and it was the battery that was faulty ! I was charged for an alternator – which was not faulty – I then insisted on a refund which I eventually received – (copy emails for your reference). 2. On each service – for some reason there always seems to be a problem when they replace the oil filter – it is either not put in properly or not cleaned properly and thus results in the vehicle leaking oil onto my garage – this has occurred on all my service history! 3. I have asked them to check when you change the car into 4th gear it seems to be revving too high and I am aware that this does affect the fuel Consumption – I have yet had anyone from the Alberton dealership actually deal with this problem! 4. The best of all – despite my history – I booked my vehicle in on the 18th December for the service special and was quoted a price of R3400 – this would include a general service and replacement of the brake pads for my vehicle. Wow and behold guess what! – I received a call from them midmorning to say my one brake light and back windscreen wiper needs replacing – (that was the only notification I got from them and I said no I would replace). I collected my vehicle that afternoon and was told my bill is for an amount of almost R6 000 – I nearly had a heart attack and asked for what? I was told that they replaced my brake discs as well – I did not authorise this and as far as I am concerned that was not what I requested – why did they proceed to go ahead without authorisation? – To cut a long story short – I asked them to remove and asked the Service Manager – Fanie van Wyk took it on himself to “come and show me what the disks are supposed to look like – I took a photo – to who my husband. 5. To me this was the last straw! I cannot and will not ever take my vehicle to this dealership – when I tried to have a conversation with Fanie van Wyk – His response was –“are you saying we are *******! – well what am I supposed to think with what has occurred historically on my vehicle – I have absolutely no faith in this dealership at all and will advise all my family and friends never to deal with them. 6. The story does not finish there – guess what –my vehicle leaked oil again and my husband took the vehicle in and asked them to clean it again.

I want Ford to be aware and I am going to social media with this as well that there are dealerships that adopt an attitude when a woman brings her vehicle In that she knows nothing about vehicles well guess what I do!

I would appreciate a response.
