Service Division Barloworld Ford PMB
Bad experience. I bought a ford DC base model from this dealership with 12900 km on the clock. Only to have this vehicle with a damaged clutch at 49000km which is a bit strange having driven my previous vehicle for 7 years without clutch issues. I fixed it for R12000 with them since this is regarded as wear and tear and not covered under warranty, they said. On completion of this 1 day after the agreed date for return of my vehicle on drive off I noticed that my dash ABS was on. I stopped and went back to the service advisor who said he forgot to tell me but they noticed this, and I have to book the vehicle again so that it will be diagnosed. I refused and after some minutes of quarrel the guy from the workshop came and diagnosed the vehicle as having a wiring problem involving left rear abs and was advise to book the vehicle for repairs, which was only a week later. On the day I took leave from work to take my vehicle to Barloworld ford. I was told the same story that i was told previously and that it will cost R1500 to repair the damage wire. I knew which one. They were not going to replace it they were simply going to put wire together for 1500. This is a simple *******. To my surprise again I was told that I must pay 960 for diagnosis of the vehicle which was not supposed to be done for the second time. ‘‘Tis leaves a lot to be desired about how the dealership charge customers for their parts and workmanship. I connected the wire myself. Abs light went off, and I kept my 1500
