Misleading & Dishonesty in advert they placed

The Ford Tygervalley dealership advertised a 2018 Ford Ranger 3.2 TDCi XLT 4x2 D/CAB AT.The ad vas placed on Gumtree.

I responded to the ad, and spoke to a salesman - who knew of the vehicle. However - he found that their stock number did not correlate with the vehicle.

It was than referred to their stock controllers, etc - who did not seem supposedly dod not know of the vehicle.

Subsequently - i was advised that the stock number related to another Ford Ranger - lower in the range.

I expressed my disappointment with the state of events - and that i was mislead through all the prior discussions., asking for a response from the Dealer Principal amongst other things.

I then got a response that the vehicle advertised had been sold.

This obviously a lie, as there were numerous other prior explanations / reasons, amongst others that the stock number was not related to the vehicle advertised.

I wish to express my disappointment with the manner in which the adverti*****t misrepresented the vehicle on sale, whether through negligence or not.

I anm disgusted though that the dealership responds to lying n order to cover up what appears to a mistake on their part.

Given that the advert was not "conditional" or stated as "e&oe" Ford Tygervalley have an obligation to honour their advert
