Mazda Bruma has failed me dismally
I Bought a car in April from Mazda Bruma,(a VW polo Vivo) I was assisted by David I also bought a service Plan and Warranty with that I was assisted by Zoe , In June the car had problems with the door , it could not close properly They took the car in and fixed it
I serviced the car in August Through the service plan and faced no problems On the 14th of September the car gave me problems again , this time it was the gears , gear 5 had no power
On the 17th of November I took the car to VW midrand where I had serviced the car , and I informed them that I have a warranty that will be taking care of the damages
VW informed me that the gear box was damaged and needed to be replaced , they advised they will proceed to claim from the warranty like they did with the service plan
A day later I was informed that the warranty wont pay for the work as they have discovered that someone fixed the car and the work was done by someone that is not Authorized by VW
I went back to David and advised him of this and he said he will communicate this with his manager and they will sort it out , I recived a call from the manager Tebogo who requested that I come to the office for a talk
I went to the office and I was advised that they will look for a car for me that will replace m old car and they will make sure it is within the same range and I will pay the same instalment
Days went by , I was calling David everyday and he was assuring me that they are working on it , until I received a call from Tebogo saying he could not find a car similar to mine but he has a VW trendline at 75km , I told him I was not happy with the high mileage, after several talks I agree to taking the car , they requested all the necessary finance documents and I sent them
I still had to call everyday asking for feedback and Every time I would be assured that they are working on it , eventually on Tuesday Zoe called me to give me the instalments on the car , to my surprise it was a different car from what Tebogo and I talk about and what I have seen and test drived
She went on to give me amounts for my instalment , one was with a 30% balloon (71 000) for R4600 and R5800, I advised Zoe that currently I cannot afford to pay that amount of money as I have commitments
I went back to explain to Tebogo my situation with the high instalments , he advised that it is either that or I will have to take a loan and fix the car my self , My question to him was that how can I fix the car my self when every month I am paying for a warranty, when I went to fincance to sign the documents , Zoe confidently advised me that I will not worry about anything but tyres and petrol till 2022 as the warranty will cover any breakdown , buying the car I was not informed that work was done on the car that the warranty would not cover the gearbox , in my mind I bought the warranty for the piece of mind knowing if my car brakes down I am covered not the story of fixing my own car
I spoke to Zoe this morning she said I need to speak to Tebogo of whom also says I need to speak to Zoe , I don’t know anymore who to speak to as no one is assisting me
I bought a car from a reputable dealer thinking I will not encounter such problems , only to find out I will be sent from Pillar to post
Its been 6 weeks and I still don’t have a solution and I still don’t have a car
Can I please be assisted in this regard as all parties I have been communicating with have failed me
