ford ranger high fuel concumption

I bought a second hand 2014 ranger XL 2.2 diesel with 18000 kms on the clock I now have close to 28000km on clock. I traded in my Isuzu 2005 double cab. From the start I noticed no power on the bukkie ,with loads you have to often rev and slip clutch on inclines to get going. From about 20000km I took the bukkie in for first complaint that was about 2 month ago.<br> On 80 L I get 530 to 550 km on a tank. I have been in and out work shop at Alberton ford , 4 x soft ware up grades... no change, get asked to fill up do 30 km , and re full and document the litres used . I did it 5 times with very close litres average on the fills for each time. showing high consumption. Average 7.5 km / L (11.7L/100) it should be about 10km/L (7.5 or 8.5L/100) .<br> I was asked to book it in , they did the same test , found it to be high. now get told after 2 weeks of waiting to bring it in again for the same test. .... it is not going to change. there is a problem!!! I want it fixed. something is wrong with the bukkie some part is faulty . I have also spoken to other drivers with same model ranger, they are getting ranging from 850km to 730km on a tank.<br>
