ECO SPORT

Towards the end of March 2018, I took ownership of a 2018 Eco Sport which I paid cash. Three months later, the battery kept loosing charge. We were in constant contact with Ford in Pietermaritzburg. We told them it must be the "battery" they did extensive tests and said, no the battery was good. Over the following 3 months my car was in their workshop for tests and more tests, for a good week or two at a time. I was given a courtesy car, during these times. After many phone calls, upsets, and disappointments .They acknowledged that it was a battery problem, which they duly replaced. All was good to go once again. Between the battery replacement time, and July 2019 the battery has gone flat on a few occasions, we have had to call their workshop. They did send out one of their technicians to jump start the car. On other occasions my husband has jump started the car. Then during the July holidays 2019 we went away and left the Eco Sport parked in our garage for 11 nights. On arriving home we found the battery was dead once again! We are very puzzled as our 2007 NISSAN Hard Body was left out in the cold, and it started straight away, our daughter's car a Suzuki 2013 was also left for the the same period in the same garage, it started straight away. Now I was very puzzled, so I went back to Ford on Monday the 9th July 2019, to ask them to place on their records, what had transpired, well no one, but no one was interested in my story! I was in their showroom for 30 minutes. The sales man who sold me my car was pleasant, but was more interested in his cappuccino, and prospects of retiring, and said that he would find the dealer Principle, so that I could lodge my complaint with him. He looked here and there, but wasn't interested, in finding him. He eventually asked one of the receptionists if they would call him? But to no avail. He then offered to email him, and asked him to contact me. I may be very wrong, but I don't believe he sent the email., as no one too this day has made contact with me! I am still waiting for the Dealer Principle! The car has just done over 10kms on the clock. My argument was, what if I had parked my car at the airport for the 11 days? Who would I have phoned? How do I start my car? Do I need to invest in jumper cables? Please I need some wisdom.
