Disappointed NMI customer
Disappointed NMI customer DR 17839 / Invoice 9536 — Prado BS17DTZN — "The Last Please" - finish paid work by Friday 18 September 2026: Good day
I am writing about my 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, registration BS17DTZN, VIN JTEBU25J***, your references DR 17839 and Invoice / Repair Order 9536.
I agreed a body and trim scope in writing in February 2026 and paid in advance. Invoice 9536 was R160,000.00. A further R33,030.89 was paid on 18 June 2026 after you stated that as the balance. Documented payments to NMI: R193,030.89.
The vehicle has been with you, across two stays, since 10 April 2026. Finish dates you named were missed, including 12 June 2026 and 2 September 2026. I collected incomplete in June because I had to travel. Defects found on the road to Botswana and back were sent to you on WhatsApp with date-stamped photos and video. We met on 10 July, agreed a written list, and I dropped the vehicle back on 20 July. On 4 September a friend arrived to collect it. Because of the inspection, the vehicle never left. I was on that walk-round by WhatsApp video from Angola. Circled items were still open. The next message from you was that the vehicle had gone back for the left-front VPS. There is still no finish date, and no comment on when the other open items will be closed.
What I need is simple. Finish the open items at no extra charge, because the job is already paid for. Where something was damaged in your care, including the radio, repair it properly or put a written solution that both sides can accept. Place the ordered windscreen seal in the boot. Do not fit the glass or the seal. Put Friday 18 September 2026 in writing as the collection date.
Two documents are attached: the executive brief and the supporting chronology.
A Hello Peter complaint is being lodged as an open record. It will stay open for you to respond. I will update it with the actual outcome, good or bad, and close it only when this is closed between both parties. A formal letter of demand is being prepared by my attorney. When it is signed it will come to you and will be mirrored on that same Hello Peter record.
You still have the opportunity to finish the work and make good on your integrity. If the vehicle is not ready on Friday 18 September 2026 to a mutually accepted outcome, the next step is public publicity and legal action. All references in the attached document NMI has in Whatsapp calls and emails.
