Barloworld Toyota Stellenbosch SUCKS

My Dad bought his Toyota Corolla 1.6 Prestige Auto in April 2015 after saving up more than 40 years to buy his retirement car, cash. After driving this vehicle for about 2 weeks a rotten egg smell emanated from this car that was disgusting and sickening.

He took the car back to Toyota and informed them of this unpleasant experience. Their first response, 'buy air freshener that would mask the smell'. Continuous calls to Barloworld Toyota made no impact and eventually Toyota SA Technical Service Group was called in. They confirmed that the car has a very bad odour and proposed to replace the catalytic convertor, at the same time indicating that this might not solve the problem.

Low and behold, it did not. We've logged a complaint with MIOSA and was told, a year later, that according to their findings Toyota has done everything they could to assist. That my retired parents have to drive with this **** smell, they have to accept that their savings was wasted on something that they were looking forward to sharing has done nothing but make them miserable.

Barloworld Toyota Stellenbosch, I am ashamed, devastated, frustrated and extremely angry at the manner in which you've dealt with my parents. It's disgusting and revolting.
