Do NOT use this company!

The car I purchased from them needed a new engine with under 80 000 on the odometer, this cost me R30K.

Within one year (i.e. within warranty period) the engine began seizing again. The service agent (who shall remain forever nameless) infomed me that this misadventure was not covered by the above warranty (even though the problem was IDENTICAL), and that the "new" repairs would cost another R25K.

IN EFFECT I WOULD HAVE TO LAY OUT ANOTHER 30% OF THE CARS RETAIL VALUE IN ORDER TO RECTIFY AN ORIGINALLY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT!

When I told said service agent that her company was acting in bad faith, she gave a flippant "take it or leave it" response.

On informing that I would rather "leave it", she charged me R1K for a diagnostic report!

SO NOW, I AM TO PAY RANSOM TO GET THEM TO RELEASE MY (FAULTY) PROPERTY BACK TO ME.

Within a couple of days of release, no-name service agent contacts me about a recall of this model for faulty "brake modulators". Colour me dubious.

This company will consciously sell you a lemon, charge you ridiculous amounts to fix this lemon, once "fixed" they will not honour their warranties.

I will NEVER purchase another product from this lemon company again!

Good riddance to Chevrolet.

Barloworld should do us a favour and follow suit!
