Barloword ***** N1 City, Oops typo Ford N1 City

I bought a 2012 Ford Focus from Barloworld Ford N1 City on the 25/06/2016, the car had Auto Armor safety film installed on the car, the salesman told me that he needs to install new safety film at a cost of R4500, I said it’s fine I would rather do it myself, he said he can’t sell me the car unless he installs the new safety film, but he can do it for R2500.

Me being the naïve person I am actually believed him and told him he can go ahead, he also told me that he will be fixing all the scratches on the car. When I came to collect the car, I did not check the car out but when I came home I saw that none of the scratches on the car had been fixed and that the car still had Auto Armor safety film on the car and as far as I was aware they use Llumar. When I called him and he told me they use either brand, so I told him I want the warranty book for the smash and grabs, he told me he did not get one and I knew for a fact that Auto Armor always give a warranty book. I took the car back to them on the 28/06/2016 to have the scratches removed and the strange noise coming from the front of the car checked out and then confronted him again about the safety film, but he stuck to the story and told me he will get the warranty book. They kept the car to sort the problems out. On the 29/06/2016 I spoke to the manager and he told me they only use Llumar and there is no rule that says they can’t sell a car if the customer doesn’t want smash and grabs, he went to have a chat with the salesman, when he called me back he told me that he will have the old safety film removed and install the Llumar smash and grabs. On the 30/06/2016 I got a call from a customer services rep asking me if I was happy with work done on the car, I was not even aware of what he was talking about, he told me that the driveshaft had to be repaired, how did none of the multipoint checks pick this up? The manager called me and advised that the problem had been picked up and that the parts have already been ordered, yet I was never informed of this when I collected the car. I went to collect my car on the 07/07, as I had been informed that all the issues had been resolved. After a closer inspection today, I saw that the smash and grabs on the back window had not been replaced, this time they were smart enough to remove the Auto Armor, but not smart enough to remove the residue left by the sticker.

The funniest thing about this whole incident was when I confronted the salesman the first time he told me "We are not Goodwood Motors, We are Ford", I guess I am buying my next car from Goodwood motors, I doubt they would stoop this low.

I was **** to and made to buy for something that was not done, any takers for *****, and then I was **** to again and all this from a massive company like Barloword *****...oops Barloworld Ford.

Barloworld Motor Retail's motto "committed to offer you cars for sale at the best prices within good business practices". LOL
