Funds not reflecting and charged additional for making a donation
I made a donation to a campaign and I was shocked that I was charged an additional amount for what I dont know. Donation was made on 1 September 2025 and to date is not reflected on the campaign.

Thank you so much for donating towards “Help Restore the Heart of Worship in our Parish.” I’m sorry for the confusion you experienced.
For clarity: the tip shown at checkout is optional and helps cover BackaBuddy’s platform costs. It defaults to 12%, but you can move the slider to 0% or choose any amount you prefer. BackaBuddy and our team do not take a percentage of donations to campaigns—only optional tips support the platform.
Regarding your EFT on 1 September 2025: EFT donations are manually reconciled from daily bank statements by our finance team, so they can take up to 3 business days to reflect. I’ve checked and can confirm your donation is now reflecting on the campaign page.
We apologise for the confusion and are looking into transferring the tip to the campaign instead. Thank you for understanding. If there’s anything else we can help with, please let us know—we’re here to help.
