Pathetic service

In last month we purchased a remote control toy car for our 3 yr old son. It was currently on special at the time. We got home and when my son tried to play with it, it did not work. We had put in the batteries etc but when he pressed the control the car stood in one place and tyres were just turning. We couldn't take it back that same weekend we purchased it so we took it back a week later and explained it to them. The piece that holds the tyres to the car was broken when we opened it. The manager came and she promised to call us the next day as she needed to consult her manager. Until now we have not heard from this so called manager or anyone else from babies r us for that matter. We wasted R400 on a toy our son could not even play with at all. This is the branch in clearwater mall. I wrote down both mine and my husbands names and contact numbers and not one call received until today. It is just ridiculous to say that you will call with feedback and not even do it all.
