False information and ideas sold to clients

I bought a car sit on 24/02/2019, I was told that the car seat is for 0kg to 13kg or 0-18months babies. Our baby was born on 19/03/2019 and he now weighs 5kg. We opened the car seat last week and when we tried to fit him on the seat it was small. I called the Mall of Africa store and the manager told me he can't help me I should call customer service. When I phoned customer service a lady by the name of Ayanda told me that I should send the car seat to the store for the manager to asses if it was used or not, and that an exchange will happen if the item was not used. My wife went to the store and did all that and now the lady Ayanda says she never said anything about an exchange.

I cannot digest how a 3 months old baby is too big for a car seat that is meant to take an 18 months baby. Firstly their consultant gave me wrong information which why I bought the car seat before the child was born, secondly their customer service gives me information and then change their stories. Today a lady by the name of Bianca also told me that it is not their fault that my child is too big the car seat and that they are not prophets to foresee the future and heights of new borns.

This matter only needs common sense and no rocket science, My child is 5kg and he is 3 months old, I bought him a car seat which I was told that he will use it until he is 18 months. Shocking how we are quick to transact but when it comes to satisfying customers we lack the capabilities.
