Exchanging without receipt
Good day,
I spent over R 5000 at Babies R us in Woodmead about 3 months ago with a gift card that I received as a gift for my Child's baby shower. We purchased Nappies in bulk along with soaps and creams etc. I have one box of Premium pampers remaining which will not fit my child for a couple of months.
I tried returning it to the Mall of the south store Johannesburg South and the manager refused to exchange it without a receipt. From my understanding if the item is not damaged and is unopened it should not be a problem exchanging it for a smaller size.
Please advise further.

Kindly be advised that Toys R Us & Babies R Us South Africa has a return and exchange policy of which is in order to effect any exchange or return within Toys R Us & Babies R Us South Africa the original receipt or the original gift receipt is mandatory requirement accompanied with the original packaging ( resalable condition). This policy excludes all hygiene sensitive goods of which needs to be actioned within the first 30 days after the purchase.
Unfortunately the store will not be able to assist with the exchange without the mandatory requirements.
