Tinashe fitness watch

I purchases a Tinesha fitness watch from Avon, downloaded the Da Fit fitness app as well, bit really bothers me that it does not give a continuous heart rate while exercising, am I doing something wrong? It is really difficult to to press on the heart rate monitor button while excersizing. Would really like feedback please
