Orders placed on my behalf without my knowledge
I have an Avon account. I also have a Justine account. I paid off both accounts. The balance was R0.00 on both accounts. On Friday afternoon (26 February 2015) I received an sms saying my orders will be delivered within 4 - 5 working days. I was confused because I had not placed any ordees. I then called Avon. They checked and found out that Maria placed the order on my behalf. Apparently she is the manager. Maria never spoke to me about placing orders on my behalf using my account. Today (29 February 2016) I refused to accept the orders from the courier company as advised by the lady who assisted when I called customer service. I wanted to close both the accounts hence the R0.00 balance. Now I am unable to do so because orders were placed without my knowledge. Now I'm being told to get an affidavit. Why should I do so if your system clearly states that the orders were placed by Maria and not me? Why should I pay for items that I didn't order? Why are these managers even allowed to place orders on our accounts without our knowledge? Can this matter be sorted out because I refuse to pay for things I didn't order and don't have! I don't have time to get an affidavit! Sort it out!
