Furious Non-customer
It came to my knowledge on Friday, 15 April16 that someone I apparently had an account with AVON. Knowing that I have never opened one, i knew that this was a case of ID theft. I then contacted the call centre on Mon and was advised to send documents disputing this account. I e-mail the docs on Tue, 19/04/16 @10:47am - affidavit, ID copy (signed 6 times) and proof of res. When I called today (20/04/16) I was told that my docs were recieved on the 17th (Sun)!!!! I told the agent that I never sent any docs on the 17th as I hadn't't even contacted AVON by then. He also told me that my e-mail that i was claiming to have sent was sitting in a queue!!! Once they receive it, i will have to wait for 21 days!!! While my name is being blacklisted. I'm in the process of getting credit and this thing is reflecting under my name and I'm told about a queue and 21 days!!! Where's the sense of urgency. And what docs were sent on the 17th and by whom unless this was a lie!! i need this matter attended to with a matter of urgency!! If Avon 's processes are not stringent enough when people apply for their credit it should not be made my problem. SORT THIS OUT!!!
