********** Account in my name. Frustrated by bad service from Credit Department

I had app**** to buy a car and was told that my application was rejected due an account I have with Avon. They had did my credit background and found that i apparently owe Avon R5716. Imagine how shocked and disappointed I was when they told me. This was on 23rd of February 2018. There's a ********** account that was opened in my name. To my shock it was opened on the 16th of January 2017. How on earth was an account opened in my name? Don't you do background checks before opening accounts? Don't you confirm the client's details? Don't you ask for Proof of addresses? Don't you ask for banking details? I seem to not understand the negligence which is taken to opening accounts? It's funny that I have never lost my ID before in my life but an account was opened in my name. I then contacted Avon on last week Friday to sort this out and they told me to send through 6 signatures on a blank page, my certified copy of ID and Proof of address to your ***** Department. I sent through the documents on Monday and got confirmation from a Vuyiswa Africa in your Credit Control Department. I then called the following day on Tuesday to find out what's happening as the car dealership said they need a letter from Avon confirming that the ********** account was opened in my name and that it has been investigated and my name has been cleared. So when I called I found one of the representatives who said she sent a mail to Vuyiswa to contact me and give me the state/feedback of what's happening. Guess what, she didn't call me back. So yesterday I called again and spoke to someone else, she also send through a mail for Vuyiswa to contact me. I'm telling you, till today she hasn't. Even sent through a mail to your Credit Control department and got a mail today saying that my mail has been sent to the correct department for my assistance with my query. Haven't been contact till now.

I just sent through a mail to your Credit Control Department a couple of minutes ago stating how long should I wait to get contacted as this is frustrating. Should I get legal action against you to get attention?

Why should I put my life on hold because of this? Why am I suffering because you don't take the corrective measures when opening accounts? I just checked on Hello Peter and saw that I'm not the first person to have had a ********** account opened in his/her name. Your credit department is taking this matter lightly. I need my name cleared asap.
