AVON : HANDS OVER ACCOUNTS WITHOUT WARNING!!!!

I have had the same problem. My phone was ****** so when i attempted to open up a new contract i was declined by MTN due to outstanding Avon account that i had no knowledge of. They never attempted to call and they had a incorrect email address that they claimed they had tried to contact me on. I immediately contacted TransUnion who notified me that the problem was that i had defaulted on a payment for the account i had with them. I immediately contacted avon and paid the account in full. I am still waiting for TransUnion to updated my status. Until then i am unable to take out a contract. I cant believe it is so easily we can be listed as by debtors and how long the process takes for us to clear our names once the payment issues have been rectified, I think the process is so unfair and ineffective. I'm relieved i managed to find this out now at not later when i decided to apply for a bond for a house. i HAVE BEGGED AVON TO SEND ME A LETTER TO CONFIRM THAT I HAVE PAID UP AND IM STILL WAITING.
