AVON ***** ACCOUNT and BREACH OF POPIA

I recently received an sms stating that I missed my payment for my alleged Avon account. Subsequently, i checked my monthly credit report and surprisingly I now have an account with Avon. I have never made contact or even showed slight interest on any of avons credit account. I never app**** for any Account with Avon, and how ridiculous of them to come out of no where and claim that I owe them and also that I have an account with them. Worse thing about this whole mess they created, is that their consultants are just useless. I spoke to different agents from their call centre and not even one was helpful, not to mention that they suggested that someone used my details, but when I asked how, THEIR RESPONSE IS THAT ALL IT TAKES TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM IS JUST AN ID NUMBER, JUST AN ID NUMBER AND A CREDIT ACCOUNT IS OPENED, WHAT MICKEYMOUSE BUSINESS IS THIS. I think I should let you know that I will be reporting AVON for breach of POPIA act and/or to the Credit Ombuds. Just know that I will taking this further than you think.
