Nightmare with a wedding venue

I booked this venue in 2023 for my 30th birthday that was to take place in 2024 December, and I paid 9500...before the end of 2023 my husband said we would be travelling for my birthday and then I had to cancel with the venue, I cancelled 12 months prior the event and the venue was refusing to refund my money, saying they would only refund my money if the venue was booked by someone else, and my father gave them a call they only agreed to refund 5000 saying the rest would be refunded if the venue is booked...we are now in 2024 December I have been following up on my refund and still no luck...This was by far the worst experience that I have had...where venues are crippling people even when I have cancelled 12 months prior the event ensuring that I am not impacting their sales or business in anyway...I will never recommend this venue to anyone of my friends and families...
