unfair tratment

i had always view Avbob as professional company. last year i changed employment and made stop order arrangements with all my funeral police to deduct from my new employer. i even paid by hand while busy sorting out the paperwork(stop order). All other policies (metropolitan ,workers life,)except Avbob kept me informed by sms about the status of my policy because my new employer had not issued me payslip yet. Towards january this year i filled avbob stop order forms issued the back , i even phoned spoke to a gentlman called John who confirmed everything is ok and they will start deducting via stop order. i was relieved that i will no longer pay by hand. last week i got a letter from avbob stating my march payment is outstanding. i phoned to arrange but was so shocked to be told my policy lapsed and they have not received any payment since January. i explained that i wasn't awarer and was prepared pay all money outstanding. but im surprised that i have to start all over serve 6months period. i feel cheated cause no one informed me about not receiving money. all other policies i have, kept me informed but avbob failed. its not like i did not want to pay. im greatly dissapointed
