Joined avabob 15 May 2019, claim rejected as they claim my 6 month trial is incomplete

I have an insurance policy number AL***X2 which i opened at Avbob in Klerksdorp on 15 May 2019, i was assisted by a short black woman ( i cant remember her name). Upon opening and paying the initial fee of R258.00 i was told i would be covered immediately. I also went to avbob to submit my bank statement a few days later to indicate the account number where the money should be deducted from. i was comfortable that the avbob agents were doing their Job and had captured my account on the system. My problem is on of the people insured has just passed away and my claim was rejected as i am now told that my policy was in fact only active from 01 July 2019. when i have proof that i joined on 15 May 2019. how does a policy opened on 15 May 2019 only become active a month & a half later. Now im being penalised simply because an employee at Avbob failed to do his or her job in time. what type of insurance is avbob, why am i being penalised for someone else's incompetence? i need my claim to be paid now. i did not once agree to be penalised as a result of your employee's incompetence
