My brother passed away and we decided to make use of AVBOB services since my sister had him covered with the company. Our initial request was to have him cremated and this was agreed upon by the manager in Soweto, who then sent us all over to ensure that we received the required documentation. This was done to us without signing a piece of paper and everywhere we went, they referred us back to the undertaker to pick up the documentation as this would not be given to us. To cut a long story short, we ended up organizing the death certificate on the day of the burial and that was after we had to drive back to the Home Affairs office for the burial certificate. To date, the grave marker has not been placed after we settled for a burial instead of a cremation as they were too late to book a cremation on the date set and that we had publicized to our relatives and friends.
