Funeral cover

Do not use AVBOB for a funeral claim unless you enjoy being ignored. I submitted a funeral claim on the 11th of August and followed up on the 13th and got nothing back, no reply, no reference number, no call, just complete silence. This is a funeral claim, my family was grieving and waiting on this money to bury someone we love and AVBOB could not even be bothered to acknowledge that we exist. They do not answer emails at all, I sent more than one and got nothing. On the Thursday I phoned in and was assisted by a consultant named Wandile who told me I must send my documents through, I did exactly that and to this day still no feedback, so even when you get someone on the phone and do everything they ask the silence just continues. This is the whole point of a funeral policy, you pay every single month so that in the worst moment of your life the company actually shows up for you but AVBOB does the opposite, they take your premiums without fail but the moment you actually need them they vanish. I would not recommend AVBOB to anyone, if you want a company that will leave your family stranded during a funeral this is the one, save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.
