Extremely bad service from avbob

I am very disappointed with Avbob, have been a policy holder since 2015 and have never claimed until this year. Avbob is deceiving people with their marketing. The promise of a free basic funeral is a lie. I was under the impression that they will pay me R10k because that's what I'm covered for but I ended up paying almost the same amount.

My brother passed away on the 29th Dec, avbob was supposed to pick the body up from bara and on the last minute they said all their cars were out. They made an appointment for the next day but they arrived over 1hr late. Asking their consultants what exactly is meant by "free basic funeral" was a waste of time because they couldn't explain instead one of them told us it's a *******.

The R2500 up front cash for the run around that they promise on their marketing is not up front. I received the voucher after the funeral and that too after making numerous calls. I then had to pay city parks myself for the grave. I ask again, what is a free basic funeral? My brother was buried on the 4th and to date I am still waiting for the invoice to see what was covered for me to end up paying over R7000 to bury my brother.

Avbob takes advantage of grieving people, all I wanted was to give my brother a decent funeral, I didn't want to create negativity around him but each day I can't get over the ******* as their consultant says it. I'm very disappointed because I had so much faith in avbob. I sent my complaint to their complaints mailbox last week but to date have heard nothing from them
